Preface to Volume VII
Welcome to the seventh volume of our undergraduate foreign language research journal, The Kennesaw Tower!
Once again, undergraduate scholars from universities across the US have submitted their work to the journal. Those who succeded in its publication underwent a rigorous process of reviews and revisions. The Editorial Board and I are impressed with the diversity of the work students, under tutelage of their mentors, are conducting during their undergraduate careers. I would like to thank our authors for entrusting The Kennesaw Tower with their work and their faculty mentors for investing precious time and effort into guiding their research and writing process. I would also like to express my deepest appreciation to our ever expanding group of reviewers for their service to the journal. Their time and dedication is central to the existence and quality of this publication venue.
I am proud to point out that the journal has expanded its language breadth in this volume by including an article written in Portuguese. The decision which languages the journal is able to include is entirely a logistical one. I am thrilled that the growing field of Lusophone Studies is represented in this volume and hope that we are able to make the addition of Portuguese to the currently included languages of French, German, Italian, and Spanish a permanent one.
I wish you enjoyment and inspiration when reading the work of the undergraduate scholars published in this volume. Please do not hesitate to contact me about their work, about the journal, or about our effort to promote and make available to a worldwide readership undergraduate research accomplishments.
With warm academic and personal wishes,
Susanne Kelley
